Calvin is a seasoned investor with deep private equity experience including growth equity, leveraged buyouts, and public markets investing. Over the past 15 years, he has led investments, advised management teams, and oversaw portfolio performance across a broad range of industries as an active Board Member. Calvin brings a disciplined and entrepreneurial approach to long-term value creation. Prior to founding Olive Tree, Calvin was at TA Associates. Calvin received his MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar. He also holds a Master’s in Accountancy Science, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a CPA and a CFA Charterholder.

Varun has over 15 years of experience across investment banking and private investing, working closely with founders and management teams. He led investments and advised companies on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and capital formation across industries. Drawing on institutional experience and a partnership-oriented perspective, Varun brings disciplined judgment and a long-term focus to founder-led businesses. Prior to co-founding Olive Tree, Varun was at Goldman Sachs. Varun received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with Business Honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Peter is an investor and operator with over a decade of experience leading and scaling family-owned businesses. As an Executive and owner of Family Dental Care, Chicago’s largest privately held dental group, he led expansion initiatives, mergers & acquisitions, and capital strategy. Prior to co-founding Olive Tree and leading Family Dental Care, Peter had a successful investment banking career. Peter brings a pragmatic, growth-oriented perspective and a deep understanding of what it takes to build successful companies. Peter received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
